Reports to: Project Manager
Staff Reporting to Position: None; ad hoc supervision of Conference Coordinator and support staff
Qualifications:
- B.A./B.S. degree; advanced degree preferred.
- 5 or more years of related technical/professional experience.
- 3 or more years of conference planning experience.
- 1 or more years of conference management experience.
- Excellent oral/written communication and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Overview of Position: Responsible for managing logistics and project tasks.
Primary Duties (under minimal supervision):
- Manage, plan, schedule, and coordinate logistical
services and materials for premeeting, onsite,
and postmeeting support.
- Coordinate meeting planning sessions.
- Draft work statements, workplans, and budgets.
- Manage planning and coordination of travel, lodging, room setups, food and beverage functions, and mailings.
- Direct conference staff in preparing materials, contacting participants, and making logistical arrangements.
- Conduct quality control of deliverables, including draft and final meeting materials.
- Draft/write meeting-related reports and technical progress reports.
- Research and/or write technical proposal sections; assist with the writing and preparation of marketing materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
