BLH Welcomes Two Senior Managers to Strengthen Health and Science Communications Services |

Alicia Doherty joins BLH Technologies as Vice President of Corporate Development. For the past 32 years, Ms. Doherty has worked under contract to various Federal agencies focused on advancing health in the United States and beyond. She directed and managed multimillion dollar, multitask public relations, media advocacy, publication development, exhibit management, and scientific meeting management (including technical review boards and expert advisory panels) projects in health and biomedical research. During this time, she has won over $ million in contract awards. She will lead corporate business development.

Previously, Ms.Doherty was Vice President at MasiMax Resources, Inc.; Project Manager at Capital Consulting Corporation; and Division Director and Senior Project Manager at R.O.W. Sciences, Inc. Ms. Doherty has worked under contract for all agencies within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Her management responsibilities have included staff selection and oversight, budget development and monitoring, quality assurance and quality control, adherence to contract requirements, technical review of products, client liaison, and project planning and reporting. She earned a B.A. in English from University of Maryland, College Park.
Dan Tisch joins BLH Technologies as Senior Project Director. Mr. Tisch is a project manager and leader with over 25 years of experience in research, planning, collaboration, facilitation, and communication of public policy initiatives to diverse populations. He is directing BLH's newly awarded EPA Integrated Service Staff Logistical Support project.
"Dan Tisch broadens and deepens are senior management team," says President and CEO Benjamin L. Harris. "His health and science background coupled with his social marketing and communications experience with some of the leading issues of our times will assist BLH's clients produce their intended results."
Previously, he has managed multiyear, multimillion-dollar Federal contracts and supported others tasked with conference and exhibit management, publications development, marketing, recruitment and retention, clearinghouse operations, and public relations. Federal entities with which Mr. Tisch has had experience include HHS' Office of the Secretary, Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP), and Surgeon General; Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC); Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA); Administration for Children and Families (ACF); the National Institutes of Health's (NIH) National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH); U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ); Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS); Environmental Protection Agency (EPA); and National Science Foundation (NSF). He has B.S. in Biology from Brown University, an M.S. in Genetics from North Carolina State University, and is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach.
